Day 08: Alphabet Ankles 🔤👣
The Habit: While sitting down watching TV or reading, trace the alphabet with each foot.
Sit comfortably with one foot off the ground. Use your foot to “write” the alphabet in the air – A, B, C, all the way to Z. Then switch feet. You can do this while watching your evening program 📺, reading a book 📰, or even chatting on the phone ☎️
Why it works: Our ankles are incredibly important for balance and walking, but we rarely give them any attention until something hurts. This simple exercise strengthens all the tiny muscles around your ankle joint, improves circulation (great if you get swollen feet), and maintains the flexibility you need for walking confidently. Plus, it’s so easy you can do it while doing something else 👍
Your action step today: Tonight, during your evening TV time, do the alphabet with both feet. Make it a daily habit. If you want to make it more challenging, try writing the alphabet backwards!
